X-Men Origins: Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a 2009 superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Wolverine. It was released on May 1, 2009 in the United States. The film is directed by Gavin Hood and stars Hugh Jackman as the title character. It is a prequel to the X-Men film trilogy and is primarily set roughly ten to fifteen years before the film X-Men. The film focuses on the violent past of mutant Wolverine and his time with Team X, before Wolverine’s skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium. The plot also details his early encounters with Colonel William Stryker (Danny Huston), the Weapon X program and Wolverine’s interactions with other mutants including his relationship with his half-brother Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber).

Wolverine lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (who will later become Sabertooth) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program.

The American President

Andrew Shephard is approaching the end of his first term as President of the United States. He’s a widower with a young daughter and has proved to be popular with the public. His election seems assured. That is until he meets Sydney Helen Wade a paid political activist working for an environmental lobby group. He’s immediately smitten with her and after several amusing attempts, finally manage to go on a date (which happens to be a State dinner for the visiting President of France). His relationship with Wade opens the door for his prime political opponent, Senator Bob Rumson, to launch an attack on the President’s character, something he could not do in the previous election as Shepard’s wife had only recently died. Bangkok Dangerous (Thai Action)

Kong is a deaf gunman, an assassin for hire who can neither hear his gunshots nor the people pleading with him not to kill them. He receives his assignments through Aom, a hostess at a Bangkok go-go bar. Kong lost his hearing when he was a child. Because of his disability, he was taunted by other children, and he grew up into an angry young man. At a target range, he found he had a special aptitude for target shooting when he pictured the faces of the boys that taunted him in the target. His deafness gives him an edge in shooting, as he doesn’t react to the gunshots and can better hold his attention on his target. He eventually gets a job as a janitor at the range.
